Can I open an account online with FortisBC?
No. Account Online profiles are only available to customers who already have a service account with FortisBC. You can open a natural gas or electricity service account online, or by calling 1-888-224-2710for natural gas, or 1-866-436-7847for electricity.
Who can install a charging station in FortisBC?
You must be a residential FortisBC electricity or municipal electricity customer of Grand Forks, Penticton, Summerland or Nelson Hydro. The home where the charging station is to be installed must be at least six months old (i.e. not new construction) and have dedicated parking for residents of the home.
How do I move my FortisBC service to another location?
Go outside first and then call us. If you see downed power lines, stay at least 10 metres away and call 911 or FortisBC. Account Online is the fastest way to move your service to your new location or close your account. You can also call us or complete our online form.
