How can I make my glasses fit better with plastic frame?
This works best with wireframes, but it’s also possible with plastic frame glasses. You’ll just need to make the plastic pliable by warming it up in hot or warm water before bending it. If the adjustment is needed in the arms of the glasses, you can maneuver them to make them fit better.
Can You Ruin Your Glasses by adjusting them?
But, to adjust glasses to the proper fit and not ruin them, you need to be very careful. Most glasses do not “need” an adjustment to fit; but in some cases an adjustment is helpful or can make the glasses more comfortable.
Should you buy new glasses or make adjustments at home?
While simple adjustments to make your eyeglasses fit better can be carried out at home, there may come a time when it is prudent to simply buy new glasses. If you have made multiple adjustments to the frame, nose or earpieces, and the glasses still don’t feel right, it is probably time to bite the bullet and buy some new glasses.
How do you bend plastic eyeglasses?

How can I adjust my glasses without damaging my glasses?
If the left side is higher than the right: Gently bend the right arm down at the hinge or where the arm bends behind your ear. Adjust frames a little bit at a time to avoid overcompensating and possibly damaging your glasses. Run the arms under warm water to make them easier to adjust. Only use water as warm as you can get from the tap.
How do you fix a bent temple on glasses?
Most temples should bend at about a 45-degree angle just behind the ear. If the bend starts before the ear, the temples will need to be loosened. For loose temples, hold them at the bend and pull the temples downward. Plan to try your glasses on a few times while you make adjustments.
How do you fix slanted glasses frames?
Grasp the frames firmly with both hands. Gently bend the curve of the temple over your index finger. Work in small, subtle movements, reheating the frames as necessary. Bend the temples up gently if they are rubbing the back of your ears and bend them down if your glasses are sliding down your nose.
