Physical objects can be dated by methods such as carbon dating, but how do you date the books. Vedas are termed Apaurusheya (authorless or not by man). The vedas were transmitted orally from one person to another which requires the candidate to have a thorough understanding of grammar, phonetics, intonation etc.
