How does match maker work for Tier 5 ships?
When placing divisions in a match, Match Maker will only consider the highest tier ships Match Making tier range for purposes of tier placement. For example, a Tier 5s normal Match Making is +2/-1, so it will normally only see Tier 4 through Tier 7 ships in matches.

How does world of warships support newcomers entering random battles?
World of Warships has a special queue for newcomers entering Random battle so they gain experience before moving on to general Random Battles. If any newcomers decide they are ready to fight with experienced players, they will be able to do that by playing Tier V+ ships:
How many templates does the matchmaker use?
Three templates are used by the matchmaker to create games. The preferred template consists of three top tier tanks, five middle tier tanks and seven bottom tier tanks (3/5/7). A 5/10 template is also common.
How does the matchmaking system work for tanks?
Additionally, the matchmaker attempts to match tanks in the same subclass and tier (such as Superheavies e.g. Maus, E 100, Type 5 Heavy etc. or Autoloading Mediums e.g. Bat.-Châtillon 25 t) against one another. Platoons can only be made up of tanks of the same tier.
How does the matchmaking system work in Star Citizen?
The matchmaker takes into account the number of battles that each player has played with ships of the same tier as theirs, as well as the number of ships one or two tiers higher.
