Is Destiny 2 PvP matchmaking really that bad?

Destiny 2 PVP matchmaking is absolutely terrible. I recently started getting more into the PVP side of destiny 2. Before these last few days, I only ever touched PvP if it was part of a quest. However, iron banner weapons look damn nice and I figured Id give it a go and get some practice in to try and get better.

Is skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) the real problem in Destiny?

Its been an issue in Destiny for quite some time now, and is constantly blamed on Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM) evolving into some bad new form that gives one great player five weights to drag them down. Now, Bungie has chimed in to say that while they recognize this is a problem, it’s definitely not SBMM, despite that constantly being blamed.

Why is Destiny 2 so popular on Steam?

I realise that once upon a time it mighve been effective, but Destiny 2 is one of the most played games on Steam at the moment because its incredible, so let us level up old season passes and unlock old ornaments. Please. For some reason, our half empty lobby was never populated with more players, but you stuck it out until the end with me.

In the last few years, if Destiny 2 and Bungie have had any controversy regarding in-game mechanics, it has to be related to PvP. With over hundreds of weapons and armor to manage, players tend to figure out a way to get some gears out of balance one way or the other.
